Gen 3 is not a marketing rebrand. Each improvement addresses a specific failure mode or performance gap identified over 15 years of real-world installs. See how it compares to competitors.

Gold internal wiring

Gen 3 LED pucks use premium gold conductors instead of copper. Copper oxidizes over time, causing colour shifting, flickering, and premature failure. Gold does not oxidize, maintaining stable contact surfaces for the life of the system.

Per-puck surge protection

Surge protection is localized at every individual LED module, not just at the control box. If a voltage spike from a Chinook storm hits one puck, it gets clamped at that module. Worst case: replace one puck, not an entire run.

Convex lens optics

Gen 3 pucks use a wide-beam convex lens that spreads light into an even cone. This eliminates the flat-face hot spots and dark gaps of older designs. Better facade wash and yard coverage without needing more modules.

5 light sources per puck (RGBW+W)

Each puck contains Red, Green, Blue, Warm White, and Cool White diodes. The dedicated white channels produce clean, natural white light from candlelight amber to crisp daylight. RGB-mixed white from competitors looks bluish and muddy. See colour options.

24V premium architecture

24V draws less current than 12V for the same brightness, which means thinner wire runs, cooler operation, longer component life, and stable brightness over long rooflines with fewer power injection points than 12V.

Parallel circuit design

Gen 3 uses parallel circuits so if one LED fails, the rest of the string continues operating. Series-wired competitors lose entire sections when one node fails. Combined with individual addressability, every puck is independently controllable via the GOULY app.
