Gen 3 Lighting is GOULY's current generation permanent outdoor LED platform: the tracks, LEDs, and control system we install. It works with the GOULY app for patterns, colours, schedules, and zones.

Yes, the lighting system is waterproof and rated IP68 to ensure there are no issues if the system ever comes in contact with water.

Yes, the tracks are colour matched to your soffits. With over 100 colours available, we can match your exact colour. See examples in our gallery.

The GOULY system is rated for 50,000 hours. At 7 hours per night, that is roughly 25 years of maintenance-free use.

The GOULY 24V system has a 9-inch distance between the centres of the LEDs.

Many companies try to upsell you on spacing. However, the distance only matters in relation to the brightness of the LEDs. The brighter the LED, the further apart they need to be. Yes. The GOULY Gen 3 system includes built-in surge protection in the certified control box. Every control box is cUL certified and includes fusing and protection circuitry to guard against power surges, keeping your investment safe during electrical events.

Yes. The GOULY lighting track and LED puck housings are UV-stabilized to resist fading, cracking, and discolouration from prolonged sun exposure. The GOULY Gen 3 system uses sealed, weatherproof connectors between each LED puck module. The connections are designed to prevent moisture entry and maintain a reliable electrical path through freeze-thaw cycles, heavy rain, and snow. Each GOULY Gen 3 LED puck contains RGBW diodes: Red, Green, Blue, and a dedicated Warm White channel. The dedicated white channel produces clean, true warm white light rather than the muddy mixed white that RGB-only systems produce. The GOULY Gen 3 RGBW system can produce any colour temperature from warm amber (2200K) through to cool daylight (6500K) by blending the RGB and dedicated white channels. The GOULY Gen 3 LED pucks are designed for strong visibility from the street while maintaining a balanced, non-glaring look. We install one system: GOULY Gen 3. This is the current-generation 24V RGBW platform with the full GOULY app ecosystem, certified control boxes, and IP68-rated hardware. We do not offer lower-tier or 12V systems because we believe every homeowner deserves the best technology available. No. The GOULY track mounts to the fascia or soffit with screws, creating a sealed, weatherproof installation. Unlike temporary lights that use staples and clips which create moisture entry points, permanent track actually protects the surface it is mounted to. Yes. The GOULY Gen 3 system runs on 24V low voltage, which is safe to touch and poses no shock hazard. The lights are mounted at the roofline, well out of reach. There are no exposed wires, no hot bulbs, and no small parts at ground level. The certified control box is installed in a protected location near a household outlet.

A professionally installed, cUL-certified system like GOULY Gen 3 should not affect your home insurance. The system is electrically certified (UL and cUL, File Number E483482), runs on safe 24V low voltage, and is installed by trained professionals. Uncertified lighting products installed without proper electrical certification could be a concern if damage or fire results from the product. Always ensure your permanent lighting system carries recognized electrical certification.

In case of power outage, the system will resume your last schedule automatically when power returns. During WiFi outage, the lights will continue running on the last programmed schedule or timer.

The GOULY system connects via 2.4 GHz WiFi only. Most routers broadcast both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. If your router combines them into one network name, the system will automatically connect to the 2.4 GHz band.
